- * Technician Apprentice (Mechanical): Three years full-time Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering.

12 months from the date of engagement.
Rate of stipend payable to apprentices per month shall be as prescribed under Apprentices Act, 1961/1973, Apprentices Rules 1992/2019 as amended from time to time and Corporation’s guidelines.
* Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD/EWS candidates shall be as per applicable Govt. guidelines.
* Upper age relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC (NCL) candidates considered against reserved positions.
* Upper age relaxation up to 10 years for PwBD candidates, with an additional 5 years for PwBD-SC/ST and 3 years for PwBD-OBC (NCL).
* The minimum prescribed qualification marks will be relaxed by 5% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD categories considered against reserved positions.
* OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) caste must be in the Central List of OBCs of the respective State and NCL status must be valid as on 2025-08-31.
* A Panel cum Merit List of eligible candidates will be prepared based on the percentage of marks (aggregate of all subjects/years/semesters) obtained in the essential qualification applicable to the trade.
* In case of similar merit rank based on marks, a candidate with an earlier date of birth (older in age) shall be considered. If the date of birth is the same, candidates having a higher percentage of marks in Matriculation shall be considered.
* There shall be No Written Test or Personal Interview.
* Unfilled reserved seats shall be reallocated in the order of priority: SC, then ST, thereafter OBC, followed by EWS, and finally to UR.
* If EWS seats cannot be filled, they may be filled by unreserved category candidates based on their position in the Panel cum Merit List.
* Candidates are advised to ensure they are 'Medically Fit' as per IndianOil’s pre-engagement medical standard.
* Candidates should not have undergone Apprenticeship Training earlier or have job experience for a period of one year or more after attaining the qualification.
* Candidates who have completed five years after acquiring the prescribed qualification as of 2025-08-31 are not eligible for engagement.
* Verification of original documents shall be done before joining of the candidate as an Apprentice.
* The list of candidates provisionally selected for Document Verification and Medical Fitness shall be published on the IOCL website.
* Candidates will be asked to provide their preference for Place of Document Verification and 3 preferences for Place of Apprenticeship Training through their registered e-mail.
* Required original documents to be furnished along with self-attested copies include: Xth Standard/Matriculation certificate (as proof of Date of Birth), latest Caste certificate (if applicable), semester-wise/year-wise mark sheets of ITI/HSC/Graduation/Diploma, Final ITI/HSC/Graduation/Diploma Certificate, copy of first page of Bank passbook of Aadhaar seeded account, Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, cancelled cheque leaf, and Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness Certificate.
* Candidature will be cancelled if it is detected that a candidate does not fulfil eligibility norms and/or has furnished any incorrect/doctored/false information/certificate/documents or has suppressed any material fact(s).
* The last date of Registration in the portal is 2025-09-18, 11:59PM (IST).
* Candidates MUST ensure that their profile (Personal Details, Educational Details, Category etc.) along with aggregate marks & percentage obtained in the essential qualification are appearing correctly in the application; contact NAPS/NATS Office for any corrections.
* Applications which are incomplete, received in any other mode/form, or not fulfilling the eligibility criteria and/or received after the last date shall be rejected.
* Candidates are advised to maintain the same registered e-mail ID and mobile number until the completion of apprenticeship training.

* The candidature is provisional and subject to subsequent verification of certificates and testimonials; furnishing incorrect/false information will lead to cancellation/termination.
* Engagement of selected candidates is subject to their being declared medically fit as per the Corporation's requirements.
* The decision of the Management will be final and binding on all candidates on all matters.
* SC/ST/OBC (NCL) candidates applying for Unreserved (UR) seats shall be considered subject to their fulfilling the standards and qualification criteria applicable to General category candidates.
* Caste/Tribe/Disability/EWS certificates must be produced in the prescribed format by the Govt. and issued by Competent Authority.
* Candidates can apply for ONE Trade Code ONLY; applying for more than one will result in summary rejection. Only one mobile number and one email ID per candidate.
* Candidates pursuing higher qualifications on the date of final online application submission, but who acquire/complete them subsequently at the time of document verification, shall not be eligible.
* No other monetary or non-monetary benefit/facility (such as accommodation, HRA, conveyance, medical facility) shall be admissible to apprentices during the apprenticeship period.
* The terms and conditions of engagement shall be governed by The Apprentices Act, 1961 and Rules 1992 as amended from time to time.
* Any resultant dispute arising out of this advertisement shall be subject to the sole jurisdiction of specific courts based on the region of pipelines (Kolkata for ERPL, Ahmedabad for WRPL, Chandigarh for NRPL, Chennai for SRPL, Cuttack for SERPL).
* Upon completion of the apprenticeship period, the Corporation shall have NO obligation to offer employment to such Apprentices NOR can an Apprentice claim the right for employment.
