The Selection Journey: What to Expect
The selection process is divided into a few stages. Here’s a simple breakdown:

Written Exam: This is the first and most important step. It's an objective-type test for 400 marks. The test will cover four sections: General Hindi, Basic Law/Constitution/GK, Numerical & Mental Ability, and Reasoning. To pass, you must score at least 35% in each section and 50% overall.

Document Verification & Physical Standard Test (PST): If you clear the written exam, you'll be called to verify your documents and check if you meet the physical standards.

For Men: Minimum height is 168 cm (160 cm for ST) and chest is 79-84 cm (a 5 cm expansion is a must).

For Women: Minimum height is 152 cm (147 cm for ST) and a minimum weight of 40 kg is required.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET): This stage tests your physical fitness and is qualifying in nature.

Men: A 4.8 km run in 28 minutes.

Women: A 2.4 km run in 16 minutes.
